SWM splitter for OTA?
#1
I am finally cancelling Directv and going with outdoor antenna to receive my locals along with Apple TV for streaming services. My question is, can I use the existing coaxial cabling and the 8-way SWM splitter that Directv installed. Can I simply remove the input from the satellite dish and plug in the antenna cable? I already have my antenna mounted - just want to avoid having to rerun coax to 3 TV's in different areas of the house. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on how old the splitter is. Try it if it does not work swap it out.

Try it and see, it won't hurt anything if it isn't compatible.
Is the cable end from the dish an "F" connector?
It needs to be if you want to connect it to your antenna.
